Our history

Amstel Products BV was founded in 1999 by shareholder Wim Crielaard. He was born in 1961 in the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands. After successfully completing his study BSc Technology & Nutrition at HAS University of Applied Sciences and a variety of commercial courses at the Dutch Marketing Institute (NIMA), he took positions at several raw material suppliers for the food industry. He started his career as a technical commercial advisor and later on worked as a commercial director at manufacturers of gelatin, cocoa powder, juice concentrates and binders.
In 2004 Amstel Products started producing technical gelatine and starch under its own label. Nowadays we offer an extensive range of raw materials to a world wide market. Technical gelatine and starch still play a very important role in our company. We deliver to satisfied customers all over the world;  from West- and East-Europe, to Korea and South-Africa, in Canada and South-America. Most recently we added Halal Gelatine to our wide product range, as well as cocoa powder, guar gum, our own binder blends and aromas.

New horizons

In 2014 we started some new activities, working together with other manufacturers and universities. We now develop consumer product concepts and we put them into production as well. We produce these products on the production lines of our customers. The success of these new activities proof our extensive knowledge of marketing and processing possibilities in the field of raw materials and ingredients.
